SINGAPORE, September 17, 2026 — Sunrate, a leading global payment and treasury management platform for businesses worldwide, has been named among Singapore’s Most Innovative Companies 2026, an inaugural ranking presented by Tech in Asia in collaboration with global market research and data company Statista.

The recognition highlights companies in Singapore demonstrating innovation across products, processes and organisational culture. The ranking evaluates companies across three equally weighted dimensions: product innovation, process innovation and innovation culture, drawing on intellectual property data, assessments from innovation experts and feedback from employees.

For Sunrate, the recognition reflects its continued focus on building technology-led infrastructure that enables businesses to manage payments and financial operations across markets through a unified platform.

“Innovation at Sunrate is about solving real problems for businesses operating across borders — and building the infrastructure to make global payments more connected, intelligent and accessible,” said Paul Meng, Co-founder and CEO of Sunrate. “This recognition reflects the work of our teams across technology, product, operations and markets to continuously rethink how businesses can move, manage and access money globally.”

Building for the Next Generation of Global Payments

Sunrate has continued to invest in technology and infrastructure as the needs of businesses operating in the global economy evolve.

The company has expanded its payment capabilities across more than 130 currencies, while developing infrastructure that supports local and international payments, collections, card programmes and acquiring across multiple markets. Its technology is designed to help businesses consolidate fragmented financial operations through a unified platform, rather than managing separate providers and payment channels in each market.

More recently, Sunrate has expanded its focus into the emerging intersection of artificial intelligence and payments through Sunrate.AI, its initiative to define agentic global payments. The company is developing AI-native capabilities that can help businesses interact with and orchestrate payment workflows through natural language and intelligent systems, alongside the underlying payment, compliance, FX and settlement infrastructure required to execute those workflows.

Sunrate has also been exploring how future technologies such as stablecoins, tokenisation and agentic AI could reshape the infrastructure supporting global payments. Through partnerships, research and product development, the company is working to connect these future technologies with established payment and financial infrastructure.

“The global economy is becoming increasingly digital, interconnected and real-time, and payment infrastructure needs to evolve with it,” added Paul. “We see innovation as an ongoing process — combining financial expertise with technology to create infrastructure that is more scalable, flexible and responsive to how businesses operate today and in the future.”

The recognition by Tech in Asia and Statista adds to a series of industry acknowledgements for Sunrate in 2026. The company has also been recognised in CNBC’s World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 list for the second consecutive year and named among FXC Intelligence’s Top 100 Cross-Border Payment Companies for 2026 for the third consecutive year.

As Sunrate continues to expand its global footprint, the company remains focused on developing payment and treasury infrastructure that helps businesses operate across borders with greater connectivity, efficiency and control.
